5-day KGA Training Expert Cat Care

Become a cat sitter who looks beyond the litter box, water bowl and food bowl! One who understands the behavior, health, emotions and well-being of cats! As a KGA Expert Cat Care you have a unique diploma that stands for cat-friendly and professional cat care, which allows you, as a cat sitter, to excel in applying scientific insights in daily practice. It is a cat-friendly course at higher professional education level.

What will you learn?
You’ll gain insight into the body language of cats and how they show and hide symptoms of illness. The lessons about eating behavior and eating problems and about the emotional life of cats, will show you how to take the best care for cats so that their well-being improves. Based on scientific criteria, you learn to observe the cat and the cat’s living environment and the understand what influence this has on its life. If you already work as a cat sitter with a focus on cat friendliness, you’ll be surprised how many steps can be added to your game. In addition to a rock solid theoretical basis, you’ll get the opportunity to follow practical lessons.

Price setting:

Per teaching day € 150. For students with an exemption for one or more theory days, these are the costs for the practical day, per day.

The total Expert Cat Care training costs €875 and is given online and in partial lessons by appointment.

You will receive a theory lesson folder of more than 550 pages with scientific references by post as a reference work. Online theory exam by appointment.

All lessons are scheduled in consultation. The practical days can be followed as 2 full or 4 half days. The two practical days take place physically in Amsterdam.

Lesson day 4 & 5-Practice
You’ll get training in applying scientific principles in daily practice, and will also receive a practical lesson folder to fill in during the cat sitting visits.

Lesson day 4: You will learn how to put the theory into practice, taking into account the well-being of the cat and the wishes of the owners.

Lesson day 5: This is also the practical exam day, where you can show that you can work independently and that you are ready to start as a professional and cat-friendly cat sitter and that your work implies the KGA’s felinocentric approach.
